Bleaching

Once we left with the watery mixture (pulp), it has a slightly brownish or yellowish color, we will need to treat it with several chemicals to make it brighter or whiter. This process categorizes the paper into two forms, such as:

• Coarse Paper (Unbleached): Used in the food packaging.

Beating & Refining

This process directly impacts the paper’s strength and enhances its physical properties, like tensile strength and burst strength, to ensure it can withstand pulling or pressure.

Papermaking

After refining, the fibrous material (collections of individual fibers) is passed through a roller to remove water, as it consists of 99% water, and forms a uniform paper web.

Final Treatments

The final treatments are based on the business’s demands, needs, or food requirements. It is simply a process where calendaring and sizing options (based on demand) are applied.

• Calendaring: Pressure is applied to the paper to make the surface smoother.
• Sizing: It includes adding a layer to the coating to enhance its resistance properties.
